The kid identity
The kid identity
Look at me,
It is not my true identity,
But when they see the true true me,
I am nothing but a messed up key,
When they see my true identity,
They want to go back to what they thought was me,
But they must not go and see,
Who my true identity could really be,
Just remember I’m my real identity.
By: Colby Selter
the author is talking about the way people look at his identity but their not always right and they dont know what his real identity is. I like the way Colby thinks because everyone has a personal deep down identity that they may never reveal. I have my own identity that I only reveal to my personal friends and family but not to random people I dont trust. That is what I think about identity and this poem.

Brother Dear response
in the story "Brother Dear" the character I relate to most is Greg. I relate most to Greg because we both are pressured by are parents to get a good education and go to school. Greg learns to stand up for himself in the end and I stand up for myself to. Standing up to your parents is really hard but sometimes you have to do it cause its right. Greg and I have to go back to school so we both wasted are efforts. That is how me and Greg are related.
The Character Response
EQ: How do our personal experiences shape our views of others? ourselves?
our personal experiences shape our views of others and ourselves because in A&P by John Updike, Sammy is working as a clerk in the store and some girls walk in wearing bathing suits. The store manager confronts them and tells them to leave because they are revealing too much skin. Sammy thinks this is bad and quits his job but the girls didn't see his courageous act so it was in vain. This personal experience shaped Sammy's personality because now he will stand up for what is right and not be afraid to do so.
